Breaking stereotypes through new narratives
RO_TH is a conceptual fashion project that gives visibility to the emotional and human dimension of migration through design, storytelling and image-making.
The collection introduces the idea of “invisible garments” designed for invisible identities, translating feelings, memories and inner states into symbolic pieces of clothing.
A fashion film brings these garments to life through the voices of migrants sharing intimate, often unheard personal narratives that go beyond labels or stereotypes, focusing instead on emotion, resilience and humanity.
The project is extended through a social media campaign where each piece is broken down not by materials, but by emotional composition, replacing technical fabric descriptions with human attributes such as pride, creativity or courage.
RO_TH reframes fashion as a narrative system, using clothing as a medium to make invisible experiences visible and to build deeper emotional connection and empathy.
Ro_th: I was tired of listening to thoughts that led nowhere,
in a calm that seemed infinite, immovable.
I like it when the water stirs you, when it seems that
it won't let you to move forward, but I'm afraid of floating...
...of not feeling the pull of the earth
and no matter how much I close
my eyes, the thoughts don't dissolve...
and no matter how much I close
my eyes, the thoughts don't dissolve...
...I try to break barriers that are often invisible,
to cross...searching for signs.
to cross...searching for signs.
And that’s where the path with no final destination begins…
Time moves forward and the path grows ever longer…
The horizon more blurred… But I find you…
The path does not end, but it seems that the earth now
supports us with its roots… thoughts continue to
accompany me on the path, but this time I focus on the
step because it grows larger each time, our roots seem to unite, we protect each other, we anchor ourselves
to the earth, we grow stronger.
